Paris-based record label Lumière Noire prepare to release ‘Intronics‘ from label head honcho Chloé to coincide with her all-night long session at Rex Club on the 27th of September.
Presenting two far-out cuts that transcend the limitations of a time-driven industry, ‘Intronics’ occupies a unique space between dark disco and space EBM opera. A fool’s paradise where stripped-back synths, tumultuous drum machines and haunting monologues establish the benchmarks of enduring artistry.
Our pick from the album is ‘Zeitnot‘, which translates to ‘Time Pressure‘. As Chloé ventures into a midnight disco crypt filled with burnished leather poets, the track unfolds with space-delayed techno kick-drums juxtaposed against a crescendo of doom-laden soundscapes. A relentless, swirling bass arpeggio serves as a backdrop for intrusive thoughts and haunting monologues.
