Now on the cusp of their eighteenth release, Berlin-based imprint Iptamenos Discos prepare to release the four-track ‘Hide & Seek‘ EP, courtesy of obscure disco trio Dina Summer – consisting of label duo head Local Suicide and Kalipo.
Following appearances on Hamburg-based label Audiolith Records, Hold Your Ground and label-owned Iptamenos Discos, ‘Hide & Seek‘ marks another timeless classic to file inside the dark disco section of the library. Four tracks of English and German chants, proto-EBM rhythms, and stained synthesizers make up Dina Summer’s spellbinding release.
Our pick from the release is ‘All Or Nothing‘ – an arpeggio glitch in the matrix that has been praised by twilight marauders. Featuring martial kickdrums, relentless snares, progressive layers of devilish synthesizers and rebel vocals, Dina Summer depicts a primitive game strictly dedicated to little humans seeking insidious adrenaline.
