Australian producer DJ Relax, also known as Nate Sellin, releases his first EP today through Kombumerri-based imprint 100 Fold.
In the wake of appearances on the Australian imprint the space between us and Beats Of No Nation – ‘DJ Relax‘ EP plunges into pristine psybient quicksands, odd mangrove-shaped trip-hop and cabalistic downtempo. Spread across 5-tracks, DJ Relax provides a bona fide meditation guide divinely mastered by Smallville’s affiliate Moomin.
Our pick is ‘Development (Imposter Syndrome Mix)‘ – a contemplative sonic safari through the ancient rainforests in the land of Oz. Featuring high-quality fauna recordings, oozed-out signals and infectious drum breaks, DJ Relax seems to be the proper tranquilizer mastermind.
‘DJ Relax’ EP is scheduled for release on 27th October via 100 Fold. Order a vinyl copy from Bandcamp.
