Premiere: Eddie Merced – Like A Flower In The Rain

Connecticut-based R4808n Recordings prepare to release their eighth extended player ‘Like a Flower in the Rain‘  from label boss Eddie Merced.

Succeeding a string of releases on Gabcat, Metrohm, MB Elektronics and his ‘Spies In Berlin‘ EP, Hartford-based producer Eddie Merced delivers 3-tracks spanning deep techno frequencies and machine-made meditations. Flowing along the edge of a highly classified exoplanet, Merced alternates between interstellar house grooves and techno.

Our pick from the EP is opening track ‘Like A Flower In The Rain‘. In a dazed-out state of consciousness, the American producer contemplates rain falling on dried pistils as he embarks on a 127 BPM introspective odyssey traversing FX-soaked frequencies, synthesizers adorned with ethereal arpeggios and reflections on post-human existence.

Like a Flower in the Rain’ EP is scheduled for release 28 June via R4808n. Order a copy from Beatport
