Premiere: F. Vinuesa – Self-Programming

DISTRITO 91 is a young label out of Madrid run by Fabio Vinuesa. Inaugurating the label last year with an EP called ‘Altered Sequences’, DISTRITO 91 has since released music by fellow Spaniards Hoax Believers and DJ Aquatraxx.

Vinuesa now returns with the imprints fourth release, an EP that indicates a clear allegiance with Drexciyan school electronics. On ‘Self-Programming’, the artist shows reverence for classic electro sounds with five tracks that range from sinister to dreamy.

Our pick from the release comes in the form of the title track ‘Self-Programming’. Of the five cuts on this release, this one’s the darkest of the bunch. Evil arpeggios, dusty drums and ominous pads all combine to create an inescapable feeling of dread on this certified electro bomb.

‘Self-Programming’ is scheduled for release 13 December via DISTRITO 91. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
