Premiere: G3 – Bruton

Following a number of releases on his own Little Corner imprint and Slit Jockey Records, today UK-based producer G3 drops an 11-track UK bass-inclined album named ‘G‘.

With 10 years on the buttons taking influences from grime, dubstep, electronica, neo-soul and footwork, G3 crafts productions that sound both familiar and comforting as well as fresh and unique. Said to be “a diaristic account of the two years in which it was made” the album spans G3’s musical influences, sifting through all shades of bass music and other chest-shaking styles with soft textures and spirited melodies.

Featuring Risograph artwork by Swiss illustrator Mathias Forbach (aka Fichtre!) – the cassette edition of ‘G‘ is a worthy addition to expanding tape collections – with individual inserts and colour printed white cassettes – the attention to detail on ‘G‘ is pertinent. Our pick from the album is ‘Bruton‘ thanks to its swooping synths, broken beat work, curveball samples and clicks.

‘G’ is out now via Little Corner. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
