Making a comeback in the limelight after a few years of mainstream disinterest, the electro scene enters a new ascending phase with a flurry of exciting records popping up in all corners of the globe. Contributing their share to the genre’s large-scale revival, Geneva-based imprint Brainwaves step up with their debut 12″ VA, ‘Caustic Dance‘, scheduled for landing April 1st.
Featuring a quintet of fast-flowing cuts from in-house talents Tout Casser, Weith, Hermeth, htn and Estebahn, this inaugural compilation from the Swiss squadron beams seriously altered sci-fi vibes and epic Detroit-style wizardry, blending Drexciyan grooves, bleepy whorls and further knee-buckling breaks in one big adrenaline shot that’s sure to turn dance floors upside down.
Lifted from this solid package of alien-developed wares, Hermeth dasher ‘Am I A Joke To You‘ cuts a path of destruction from the Swiss bank vaults straight into the heart of the club. Pulsating with a high-powered, Motor City-engineered thrust but adding its twist of broken harmonics and fluttering bleeps to make it a proper quirky banger, the track heads for further corrosive acid depths and dissolves all in its wake. Beware dancers, shockwave’s coming your way.
