Berlin-based record label All You Can Beat prepare to unleash the highly-anticipated ‘Calling Earth‘ album from veteran German DJ and producer Martin Böhm aka Housemeister.
Having crafted remixes for Modeselektor and Matthew Herbert and embodying a tireless raver in Paul Kalkbrenner’s film “Berlin Calling”, Housemeister returns with his ninth album to date. Over the course of nine tracks, Böhm traverses a radiant constellation of synth-driven house, techno and glitch-infused EBM.
Our pick from the album is ‘Zeitsprung‘, which translates to ‘Leap In Time‘. As Housemeister steps into a dark disco basement populated by moon-like leather creatures. The track features minimal yet relentless techno kick-drums set against a backdrop of dramatic-o-spooky synthesizers, with an endlessly swirling bassline creating a playground for indulgent frequencies and sinful monologues.
‘Calling Earth’ is scheduled for release on 13 September via All You Can Beat. Order a vinyl copy from Bandcamp.
