Four years after their inaugural release, Italian imprint Entangled Visions gear up to issue ‘5 Doubts / 5 Occurs’ from Tokyo-based visionary producer Yosuke Tokunaga.
Following releases on Berlin-based ambient and experimental label VAAGNER and Leipzig’s Prepaid, ‘5 Doubts / 5 Occurs’ unveils a compelling collection of 10 tracks that delve into cosmic introspection. The album navigates through expansive celestial ambient soundscapes, and explores otherworldly experimental textures, sci-fi-infused downtempo rhythms and dub-drenched drone ballads.
Our pick from the album is ‘Do ubts‘. Mastered by Alberto Bertelli, the track kicks off with percussive wood knocks layered with slow-paced drum rhythms that grounds the piece in a steady, mesmerising groove. As the composition unfolds, obscure synth oscillations engulf listeners in a profound sense of catharsis, transporting them through arcane melodies that evoke the grandeur and mystique of long-forgotten civilizations.
