Italian imprint Flexi Cuts return in fine form with ‘Wait A Minute’, a four-track vinyl release venturing deep into the soulful folds of house.
Following up the blissed-out textures of Robotalco’s ‘Yaxche’ LP, the label shifts gears toward the dancefloor, offering up a sun-soaked, nocturnally charged extended player from seasoned trio Joyfull Family.
With their curatorial lens locked on timeless grooves, Flexi Cuts continue to map the intimate cartographies of feel-good club culture. Drawing from two decades of deep-digging and groove sculpting, Joyfull Familybring a blend of elegance and propulsion to the EP.
On remix duties, label boss Relative (aka Simone Guerra) brings his signature stripped-down finesse, while G&D, the production duo of Italian house titans Gino Grasso & Dino Angioletti, lace their version with hypnotic bounce and warm funk flourishes.
‘Wait A Minute’ unfurls like a late-night sermon for dancers with open hearts. Anchored by a rolling four-to-the-floor rhythm and buoyed by ascending pads, the track invokes a spiritual kind of club euphoria.
