London-based record label Manual Smiles line up ‘Baltic Blue‘ from Stockholm via Berlin producer Kajsa Villius.
Following a set of releases on London-based record label Megababes and Hörz Audio, Villius returns with a five-track extended player channeling a haunting prophecy shaped by the depths of the Baltic Sea, combining interplanetary trance, techno and liquid braindance into a slick formula of rave-fuelled energy.
Our pick from the release is ‘Sweet Inferno‘. Kicking off with a stretched-out prelude of trance arpeggios reminiscent of midnight toads lurking in swamps, it morphs into a high-voltage landscape of tech-infused rhythms, cutting through a dense haze of heavy bass. As UFO-like frequencies surge, they light up the stratosphere with a vibrant spectrum of colors, turning eternal hellfires into a fertile playground for cyber-charged euphoria.
‘Baltic Blue’ EP is scheduled for release 8 November via Manual Smiles. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
