Set in the lushest realms, halfway between meditative soundscapes and coastal house terrains, the second EP from Parisian label Khasia Hills gathers almost the exact same cast that featured on the imprint’s debut VA, only substituting Real J. (formerly known as Real D.) for Bordeaux-based up-and-comer Evolve; otherwise, the team remains untouched with Jus Jam, Jam For Real (featuring Real J.) and Kerstone at the helm of this VA, due out on October 2.
Our pick, Kerstone‘s smoothly-curved ‘New Season‘ is the ideal soundtrack to the seasonal shift – one to help you transition effortlessly from the summer’s all-enveloping blue to the autumn’s thick, red-hued mantles of dead leaves in one gentle caress. Aqueous bloops softly merge with subtle drum taps and prismatic chimes as ample pads widen up the scope to panoramic mode. Not quite done with the dog days vibe but ready for the comfy days at home, a proper moony chugger.
