Premiere: Later Version – Drifting Pottery

Following up ‘Music For Autumn‘ from Glenn Astro in October, Copenhagen-based Tartelet Records prepare to release ‘Create All Next‘ from Oakland-based production duo Later Version, consisting of Jerod S. Rivera and Daniel Letson.

For years, Daniel Letson has forged a unique sound path as DJML, showcasing his talents on respected labels such as London-based imprint From The Depths and Jacktone. This time, Letson joins forces with Jerod S. Rivera for their sophomore venture, delving into the kaleidoscopic realms of the ’90s club scene. Spanning five immersive tracks, the duo offer a potent blend of cerebral stamina, intertwining early electro grooves, proto-braindance elements and thumping breakbeats.

Our premiere ‘Drifting Pottery’ is a visceral dancefloor weapon that melds feverish broken beat rhythms with crystalline synth layers. The track unfolds into vast soundscapes, rich with introspective echoes, creating an essential soundtrack for the avant-garde ceramicists toiling away in dimly lit basements.

‘Create All Next’ EP is scheduled for release 15 November via Tartelet Records. Order a copy from Bandcamp
