Valencia-based record label Gordo Trax gear up to issue their 18th release from Costa Rican-born techno producer Linear System.
Following up previous appearances on Belgian imprint Materia, Molecular and Planet Rhythm, Hugo Lineal returns as Linear System with a 5-track extended player named ‘Permanent Marker‘ including a remix from Atisbo. Over the course of the release, Linear System delivers a steady stream of industrial fused with dub techno, cyber trance chuggers and high-speed techno.
Our pick from the release is the opening track ‘Versatile‘ – a thumping bass-driven production laced with spectral echoes and dubbed-out rhythms accompanied by double-speed hi-hats. In a matter of seconds, the track transports us to a dark room filled with computerised dramaturgy and sleeping intelligence.
