Nine years after their inaugural release, Bologna-based imprint Timeless prepare to release the five-track ‘Lingua Nera‘ EP – courtesy of umbriferous duo Lingua Nera.
The veteran producer Francesco, better known as Tabache, and the multi-instrumentalist Alex met in Bologna in 2019. After a chance encounter, they decided to join forces to provide the world with some of the most obscure post-native speeches. Over five tracks, ‘Lingua Nera‘ unfolds as a symphony of noise improvisations, braindance drama, and poetic twilight.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘I Don’t Want A New Guitar‘ – a noisy antidote to neo-capitalism belief systems. Against the backdrop of world-dominated artificial chaos, Lingua Nera captures the beauty of submarine frequencies, thoughtful chants, and defective guitars over delirious FX pedals.
