More widely known as Viers, Jordon Saxton also happens to record under the moniker of LK, which he already pressed into service for Bristol’s Shall Not Fade on a couple of occasions this year.
After dishing out varied house menus through the likes of Breach’s Naked Naked, Hokkaido Dance Club as well as a debut LP for Church in 2015, the Leeds-based producer returns on SNF with ‘Party People‘, a smooth Chicago indebted four-tracker by way of ice-breaker for the long nights.
Melding the warmth of jazz and disco with a fine concoction of swift filtered house à-la-française – sitting halfway Roulé’s classic back-catalogue and Nebraska’s recent excursions on Mister Saturday Night, the EP is a fine expression of Saxton’s impeccable groove know-how.
It won’t take long till our premiere, the writhing ‘Lunar‘, takes control of your body and mind. Its winged disco-house groove unravels swimmingly as piano hooks come break the hegemony of a heavy-churning bass line and feverish congas. Get on your dancing shoes.
Party People EP is released on 25th November, pre-order a vinyl copy from Bandcamp.
