In just a couple of years Inner Balance has established as more than just a choice sub-branch of Chez Damier’s classic imprint Balance Recordings. Operated by Jorge Caiado, the label’s threading its way in the deep house scene with elegance and lightness, already rich of five releases in two years courtesy of artists as diverse as Ewan Jansen, Keumel, Arcarsenal and now the Italian duo Minimono.
After a flurry of records on their own label Bosconi and just fresh off releases on the seminal Vibraphone and Robsoul, Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colaci step up on Inner Balance with ‘On The Edge‘ EP, a four-tracker oozing sheer Chicagoan sensualism and warm Indian summer vibes. Our pick, ‘Still Alive‘, is a silk-touch roller suited for smooth dancefloor action and long after-hours lounging; hedonic pads scudding like clouds in a cerulean sky whilst a suave voice languidly guides you through the grooves. Deep house at its finest.
