Gin&Platonic prepare to release ‘Algorave Express’ from Italian producer and live-coding virtuoso Francesco Corvi, better known as nesso.
Following releases on Milan-based imprint HEEL.ZONE, Superpang and Riforma, the producer unveils a thrillingly chaotic manifesto for the rave metaverse, a collection of abstract electronics and fragmented soundbytes. Paired with mind-bending visuals by Czech graphic designer Jiří Macků, ‘Algorave Express’ fuses the beauty of braindance, experimentalism, mutant dembow rhythms and jagged cyberpunk.
‘Bouncer Toss’ feels like a descent into the over-calculated madness of a digital subconscious. Opening with interstellar signals that seem like a high-velocity spacecraft making its way through alien atmospheres, the track erupts into a frenzy of distorted bass, rapid-fire percussion and UFO-like synth modulations. Skewered vocals ripple through the chaos, plunging listeners into a hyper-sensory blackout, as if their neural pathways have been hacked by an artificial intelligence.
