Succeeding the ‘Completely Half’ release from Bolis Pulpul in November 2023, Ghent-based label DEEWEE return with the three-track ‘Terra Gira‘ EP – courtesy of São Paulo-based producer Phillipi.
After operating in the legendary Studio DEEWEE tucked away in a northwestern Belgian metropolis and collaborating with French producer Yuksek, Phillipi delivers his sophomore effort ‘Terra Gira‘ EP. This triple-track set is nothing short of a dancefloor elevator, taking you back to the dawn of club aesthetics with interludes in an acid house foundry full of peak-time machinery.
We were especially taken by the daily sleigh bell anthem ‘Todo Dia‘, which reminds us to be grateful for every trance step. This ecstatic church of sound is home to complex drum arrangements, hedonistic Portuguese vocals, and Chicago-inspired house synthesizers.
