Five years since their first release, Thisbe Recordings prepare to unveil ‘Mutation‘ from Lausanne-born now Berlin-based label boss Pyrame.
Featuring two solo tracks and a pack of remixes, ‘Mutation‘ explores a blend of post-punk, new wave and electro, reimagined by three artists; H.L.M. sculpting dub-flecked density, French duo Acid Washed, elevating the track with retro-chic cinematic polish and two alternating mixes from Multi Culti affiliated artist Valerio Ebert aka Oltrefuturo.
Our pick is Oltrefuturo‘s ‘Trance-A-Lento Mix‘ thanks to its slow and meditative tempo, it exhales a shimmering pulse of analogue psychedelia resulting in a dreamlike quality where distorted radio transmissions, warped arpeggios and cosmic strains blend into a hypnotic drift.
