Four months after releasing ‘Candles / The Stairsteps to Ascension Taken Two At A Time‘, New York-based producer Sharp Veins gears up to issue his album ‘People Pleaser‘ on Nowhere Places.
Delivering a forward-thinking soundtrack for disembodied entities navigating the metaverse, Sharp Veins explores cybernetic noise, dystopian post-club textures, high-speed breaks and mesmerising drone. Accompanied with a striking visual from NYC artist Lia DeFranco, this release channels machine-driven soundscapes that plunge listeners into a state of cerebral blackout.
Our pick from the album is ‘Dub Step All Stars‘. The producer embarks on a trip through the shadowy recesses of forgotten consciousness, unraveling a space-time delirium that explores dubstep’s experimental fringes. Initially starting off with cosmic echoes that sound like the tails of high-velocity meteorites, the track quickly descends into alien frequencies, distorted bass oscillations and fractured breaks.
