For the inaugural release on Copenhagen’s freshly minted PEACCH Records, label head Soft Pxrn – also known for their work as peachlyfe – unveils ‘Raver Equation’.
Moving away from the frenetic, high-octane techno that has defined their previous output, Soft Pxrn delves into the more fluid, euphoric realms of progressive house and trance. ‘Raver Equation’ explores a rich landscape of shimmering melodies and mind-altering rhythms, a collection of tracks that blend deep, introspective moments with pulsating rave energy, epitomising the thrill of the dancefloor.
‘Vape Nation’ captures the essence of this evolving sound in striking fashion. Opening with an extended prelude of deep, rumbling basslines and ultra-filtered kick-drums, it evokes the image of a wrecked dancefloor populated by hazy figures, locked in a state of trance.
As the track unfolds, it transforms into a high-octane landscape of razor-sharp synthesizers, cutting through a dense fog of trance euphoria. Otherworldly, UFO-like frequencies surge upward, igniting the air with an electrifying spectrum of sounds, charged by the glow of vape pens. The track’s final moments explode into a straight-edge ecstasy, where cyber-charged euro-house melodies take over, turning the dancefloor into a fiery, digital utopia.
