Ending a seven year hiatus, Tom Trago revives his Amsterdam-based record label Voyage Direct with a back-to-back event series starting on Friday 30th August in conjunction with the release of ‘In Your Eyes‘ EP from Dutch producer Dexter.
Following the release of his debut album on Rush Hour in 2009, Tom Trago established his own imprint “Voyage Direct“ in 2010, based on two key principles: to promote independent-minded Dutch house and techno, and to provide an outlet for music by young, talented producers from the Netherlands. Since its inception Voyage Direct have released records from a plethora of cutting edge producers including Aardvarck, Awanto 3, Benny Rodrigues, Boris Werner, Dexter, Interstellar Funk, San Proper and more.
Fourteen years after his initial appearance on the label, Dexter returns with ‘In Your Eyes‘, a sleek and vibrant fusion of contemporary boogie, cyber-minded electro and breezy house. In conjunction with the label’s relaunch, Trago is set to host three label showcases named ‘Tom Trago XXX‘, kicking off with the first edition at Shelter Amsterdam, followed by OXI Club in Berlin on 22nd September and culminating at Amsterdam Dance Event on 16th October. The lineup features a stellar cast, including Rhythm Section affiliates Chaos In The CBD, Scottish selector Eclair Fifi, Panorama Bar regular Natalie Robinson, Dexter, and Zohar.
