The latest episode of our sister mix series Newtype Rhythms is here – a brand-new edition with a boundless guest mix courtesy of Milan-based artist Yas Reven.
Initially making waves with sessions for the likes of HÖR, The Lot Radio and Boiler Room – Yas has maintained a focus on a steady stream of upper-tempo thumpers whilst keeping herself untethered by the bounds of genre. In her debut release, ‘HARD20‘ on the burgeoning Bristol-based label Hardline Sounds, she weaves the strands of sonic webbing between techno, bass and beyond to create a release that’s equal parts immersive, impactful and invigorating.
Yas Reven’s boundless energies make this episode of Newtype Rhythms a must-listen; as she highlights the sounds of tomorrow and the music of today, all while giving a nod to the past genres that have built up the scene to where it is today.
