Cocktail Party Effect contributes an unearthly mix for Newtype Rhythms

The latest episode of our sister mix series Newtype Rhythms features a mix from one of the most unique and underrated producers in electronic music; the indelible talent known as Cocktail Party Effect.

Making waves over the last few years with releases on Osiris Music, Sneaker Social Club and Tectonic – he closes out 2022 with a mammoth release on the ever-impressive Midnight Shift imprint, with a four-tracker entitled ‘Oscilloscope Detachments‘ – a resonant sonic tapestry that enthrals and endures listeners with its densely-rich sound design and cathartic pacing.

That same level of excellence is also present in his contribution to this week’s guest mix – as Cocktail Party Effect delivers one of the most impactful and inventive mixes we’ve ever hosted on our sister series. Check out the incredible mix at 40 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead warming things up per usual.
