Destrata delivers a sidewinding mix for Newtype Rhythms

The latest episode of our sister mix series Newtype Rhythms features a vigorous guest mix from Vancouver-based artist Destrata.

Making waves with tracks and releases on upstart bass labels such as Eat My Beat, Indexlife and Shubzin, his latest sonic output comes from EMA’s Woozy label on the ‘Woozy 2.5′ V/A compilation, with his track ‘Amphibian Barrier‘ being a standout selection amongst excellent contributions alongside strewn amongst the release.

Destrata’s bass fuelled fluidity is something that truly makes them stand out amongst the rest of his contemporaries; unafraid to pull the trigger when it comes to the most vivid option sound-wise, intriguing listeners with ideas that delight and decant as the track goes long.

That same level of intricacy is evident in their excellent guest mix for Newtype Rhythms, which starts at around 39 minutes. Warming up things per usual is resident and host Sheepshead with the usual assortment of start-up energetics. Check out the tracklist after the jump.
