Dutchie weaves a tempo-twisting mix for Newtype Rhythms

The latest episode of our sister mix series Newtype Rhythms features a wonderfully-crafted rhythmic journey courtesy of one of Bristol’s best and brightest, Dutchie.

Starting things up on the production front with a brilliant release on Hold Tight in 2017, she stirs things up in 2022 with a fantastic two-tracker on Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce, with “Yeah/Lock Down” – a thwacking tourney towards the tumultuous bliss within the genre of UK Funky and more.

Melding several genres into their work is a Dutchie specialty; as its garnered her support from BBC Introducing, HÖR Berlin, UKF and Worldwide FM – and that same impeccable craftwork within her productions is shared with her approach towards DJing – as Dutchie delivered a mix for the books for Newtype Rhythms, balancing bombastic energy with a remarkable sheen. Check out the scintillating, smooth mix by her at 43 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead warming things up per usual.
