Eglo Records boss Alexander Nut up next on Altered Soul Experiment

Volcov, Red Greg, Marcellus Pittman, Ge-ology, Antal… the list of contributors goes on and quality remains untouched on Altered Soul Experiment. Next up to grace the French-run, Berlin-based label is the versatile co-founder of Eglo Records, Alexander Nut.

Showing off his tried-and-tested DJ skills over 90 minutes of soulful music, Alexander puts together a fine selection of blithe boogie, disco, cuban jazz and voluptuous funk riffs, weaved through by an impeccable groove savoir faire.

Digging through the crates that helped shape and define Eglo’s all-embracing body of work, this mix reflects on the origins of a singular vision, putting the evolution of both the ship and its captain in perspective. Tracing the development to a wide-lens portrait of worldwide electronic music – from Floating Points through Funkineven onto Fatima – this one draws right back to the source.

ASE08 is released via Altered Soul Experiment on 18th April, order a copy from their webshop.
