Today London-based DJ, producer and label owner Erol Alkan announces his return with the release of his first solo material in five years via his own imprint Phantasy Sound.
‘Spectrum / Silver Echoes‘ presents “two pure dancefloor cuts which perfectly embody Alkan’s charismatic, psychedelia tinged and singular approach to DJing and production.”
Of course Erol Alkan has not exactly been resting his feet over the past half decade. He’s mixed down the latest Daniel Avery and Gabe Gurnsey (Factory Floor) albums, worked on remixes for Todd Terje, Depeche Mode, Tuff City Kids and more, plus last year’s Reworks Volume I album.
Tonight Alkan will help celebrate BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix at 25 celebrations with a 25 minute mix (listen out for Alkan’s mix just after midnight). To coincide with the release, Alkan will perform at London’s latest live venue EartH in Dalston on Saturday 10th November with shows in Glasgow and Dublin to follow.
