With Summer looming and floral shirts blossoming, Inverted Audio’s founder and editor-in-chief Antepop steps up to deliver the 19th instalment of Farr Festival’s podcast series.
An apostle of the vinyl-only, raw techno church, Tom Durston keeps honing his DJ skills at various parties and events in London and its surroundings, having previously shared the stage with a wide range of artists including 45 ACP, Young Male, Lawrence, Luke Abbott, Coma, Swayzak and Ulrich Schnauss to name a few, also running the monthly Inverted Audio radio show on Balamii.
“Having curated the podcast series so far, my approach to this vinyl mix was to gradually introduce listeners to the deeper shades of house and techno music. The mix features some of my all time favourite records in my collection, which I have been building up over the past 12 years. As you can see from the track list imprints such as Dial, Giegling and White Material feature a lot. For me these labels are an inspiration and keep me fuelled with music that is far from mundane.
This summer at Farr I’m honoured to be playing a 2-hour set on the main stage alongside Brian Not Brian, Move D, Hunee and Jeremy Underground. It’s fair to say that I’m more than excited to be able to play records deep within the woods at Farr in such good company. I’ll be packing a variety of records with some unexpected gems thrown in for good measure.”
