The latest episode of Newtype Rhythms features a rousing guest mix from UK sub-sonic legend Fixate.
After making waves with a steady stream of releases for the venerable Exit Records label, he returns in 2022 with a brand-new full-length simply titled ‘Fixate‘ – a thirteen-track journey that expands the auditory focus that he inhibits by exploring genres and tempos that engage and invigorate him.
Garnering support from a slew of producers in several pockets of the underground (ranging from Andy C, Goldie, Madam X, Skee Mask, Sherelle and more) – Fixate’s sound is an ever-evolving tapestry that we are privy to witness with our ears at the ready and our feet at the dance.
That same exuberance is evident in Fixate’s guest mix for Newtype Rhythms, as he brings twists and turns throughout the other journey with some surprises to boot. Check out his mix at 38 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead warming things up per usual.
