Herefordshire-based Freerotation festival has announced the effective landing of its eponymous label with the release of’ ‘The Hafod Jams pt.1’ by The High-on-Wye Quintet aka Freerotation residents Juju, Jordash, Move D, Soulphiction and Steevio.
The EP is a “mega hardware jam session recorded live in Steevio’s Hafod studio after Freerotation 2012” which couldn’t prove any better how an improvised jam can result in a consistently accomplished piece of collaborative work. To anyone up for some digressive ramblings into slow-mo techno territories and contemplative rides across gently deviating sonic ruts, no doubt that you will find in those jams a quite special object to focus your attention on.
And for those wondering, Freerotation already made this very clear: “Expect further releases and interesting projects from Freerotation artists on a regular basis.”
