A little bit more than a year after the release of his acclaimed album ‘Immunity’, Jon Hopkins returns with a four track EP entitled ‘Asleep Versions’, released via Domino Records on 10th November 2014.
The EP, recorded at Sundlaugin Studios, near Reykjavik, is a collection of four tracks taken from ‘Immunity‘ re-imagined and re-capsulated into a string of daydreaming variations in pure Hopkins’ style, unveiling a mesmerising sequence of fragile and crystalline-sounding tracks. The UK based producer discreetly reinvents himself, inviting Braids and Blue Hawaii lead vocalist Raphaelle Standell to join forces for a semi-acoustic version of ‘Form by Firelight‘, while King Creosote features on a new modulation of ‘Immunity’.
Domino Records will release Asleep Versions on November 10 through 12″, CD and digital formats. A limited double CD featuring Immunity and Asleep Versions EP will also be available on the same day.
