After a short hiatus in the studio, Karenn return this fall with the release of a new three track 12″ on the duo’s label Works The Long Nights plus a European tour in 14 locations including a very special performance at St John’s Church in Hackney, London.
It’s been 2 years since Blawan and Pariah released their last EP under their Karenn guise and expectations are high. The three tracker unrolls a distinctive batch of concrete-hard kicks and cascading percussions straight in the vein of their previous works and proves if needed that the musical bonds that originally reunited them have been nothing but strengthened by the series of live shows and experimentations they recently went through. Closing track ‘Ballast‘ delivers a sound more akin to the likes of Demdike Stare.
