Florida-based producer Justin Myers has a new release under the Justin Depth moniker. ‘Wired‘ is out now via Myers’ Image Research imprint, which he runs alongside Hunter P. Thompson, aka Akasha System.
The label serves as a home for the varied projects of both Myers and Thompson, as well as showcasing like-minded artists from the Sunshine State and beyond. Adventurous techno, glitch, and ambient house are on full display across the discography, with ‘Wired’ the most recent addition to a flourishing collection.
‘Wired’ is the first physical Justin Depth release, following a series of online albums and one-off singles. Across the EP’s 5-tracks, Myers offers lush production atop broken beats, chilled out excursions, and panoramic IDM.
Highlight “Test Flight” soars with pillowy synths etched atop a trip hop inspired drum pattern. Elsewhere, “Angel” offers a supremely chilled out drum n bass vibe that reflects the humid, sunny climes of the creators’ Tampa headquarters.
