Glaswegian producer Lanark Artefax returns to AD 93 with his first release since 2019’s ‘Corra Linn‘. Resurfacing last year with an audio-visual show at Unsound, Calum MacRae now lines up a five-track extended player named ‘Metallur’.
The label described the release as “music for a crushed infinity”, and it couldn’t be more appropriate. Combining abstract, maximalist electronics with a stunning sense of artistry, ‘Metallur’ packs a wallop in its brief run time.
The title track, streaming below, sounds like a trance anthem beamed in from another dimension, the usual body high refracted through the cold nothingness of space, presenting instead a warped sonic blend that’s deliriously tripped out.
‘Metallur’ is scheduled for release on the 26th April via AD 93. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
