Experimental electronic artist Lucrecia Dalt has announced a new album, scheduled for release 4th May 2018 via RVNG Intl. Originally born in Colombia, the Berlin-based artist writes music that’s conceptually charged, yet absorbingly sensual.
‘Anticlines‘ is said to be an exploration of “boundaries and edges” that were created chiefly using a Clavia Nord Modular, a Moogerfooger MuRF, and her voice. Dalt’s work sets her haunting vocals, sung and spoken, against surrealist synth work, imbuing her philosophical reflections with an almost ritualistic immediacy through which her rich tapestries of ideas come alive.
The record reportedly arose from a plethora of distinct inspirations, among them Colombian mythology, ecological dependence, and Martian meteorites. Her sixth album to date, ‘Anticlines’ is to be released May 4, 2018, on LP, CD, and digital formats. Watch the video for ‘Tar‘ below.
