The final episode of 2020 from Newtype Rhythms comes caked with a mix from Barcelona-via-Switzerland artist MANS O, fresh off a drum-drenched six-tracker for Portuguese label XXIII.
Working with a diverse range of vocal collaborators across his most -recent ‘HI-TECH TONGUE’ EP, MANS O crafts tough instrumentals through a distinct palette of rhythms, bass and drum work that stands tough amongst his percussive contemporaries.
MANS O captures that distinct, propulsive essence with his hard-hitting guest mix for our sister series – with a majority of the mix focusing on sounds unearthed from Spanish contemporaries as well as MANS O himself. His spark-plug of a guest mix starts at 41 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead warming things up per usual.
