Manuel Zambrano: Citinite

Citinite are specialists of electrofunk, the label is based in London and New York. Citinite was originally conceived in 2003 by Manuel Sepulveda and Scott Jarrold, Citinite as a label was eventually launched in 2006 and is owned and run by Manny Zambrano.

Apart from running the respected electrofunk label, Manny also designs all artwork for Citinite releases as well as record labels such as Hyperdub and Warp.

Since the imprints inception, Citinite have released records from a wide spectrum of pioneering artists, such as Gosub, Her Bad Habit AKA Jimmy Edgar, Sweat X, John Davis, Egyptian Lover and most recently Ad Bourke.

Manny sent us a list of his ‘favourite music things in 2010‘ with a special shout out to…“Special hollas to Hyperdub, Planet Mu, Ikonika, Jackmaster and Spoek Mathambo who all had deservedly good years.”
