MATstudio is a new collaborative series from Melody As Truth label boss Jonny Nash and Suzanne Kraft.
The debut edition arrives in March, featuring two long format experimental tracks “In Strange Company He Spoke Softly” (17 minutes) and “The Land Through Which We Pass” (18 minutes) – listen via the player below.
The concept for the series was born out of the working processes of the labels Amsterdam studio. “Many hours are spent here experimenting with new methods, tools and ideas. This process allows us to continue developing our interests in merging multiple production techniques to create a personal language.
MATstudio works are collages of improvisations, experiments and accidents. Many of the fragments are the results of filtering our ideas through new production techniques and tools. Some feature friends and collaborators. MATstudio works are an ode to the infinite possibilities that result in keeping a curious mind and a desire to learn.”
Additionally, ‘MATstudio 1‘ is housed within a transparent vinyl with screen-printed PVC sleeve and paper insert with hologram designed by Michael Willis.
