Set for release this June, Australian label Animalia and Quebec-based NAFF Recordings are teaming up to deliver a collaborative extended player from OK EG and Canadian producer Priori.
OK EG, the Melbourne-based duo of Lauren Squire and Matthew Wilson, fuse experimental music and visual art to craft immersive sonic landscapes. Known for their improvisational approach to live techno, they blend hypnotic polyrhythms and lush ambiance, drawing inspiration from natural textures to create deeply atmospheric soundscapes.
“Serpentine” seamlessly merges downtempo electronics with experimental elements, weaving together propulsive basslines, bleep-infused breakbeats, deep and hypnotic rhythms—a musical style they describe as “feather-tech.”
Accompanied by lysergic cover art from Ezra Miller, the project originated during a session at the Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio, where its initial sonic explorations began to take shape. With its fusion of intricate textures and forward-thinking production, Serpentine is a standout release for fans of lucid electronic music.
‘Serpentine’ is scheduled for release in June via Animalia and NAFF Recordings. Pre-order a vinyl copy from Inverted Audio Record Store.
