Premiere: 1800HaightStreet – Age

Over a year on since the drop of their debut LP, ‘Endless’, in Lobster Theremin’s main series, Vancouver-based duo 1800HaightStreet return to the London label’s techno dedicated sub-branch Mörk, after a first incursion in 2015 with ‘Heldled‘.

Folded in aqueous dub tapestries and steely curtains of percussive madness, ‘Age‘ makes for a particularly expansive slab of sunken atmospheric techno, steering near to Maurizian terrains down into its own category of end-to-end immersive dancefloor epics, sure to send crowds into an infectious state of euphoria.

Premiereing through our channels today, the syncopated title-track ‘Age‘ threads its way across bountiful underwater scapes and sharp-edged reefs at a steady-rolling tempo. Deadly as gets with its harassing combo of cascading kicks and skittish drumwork, the track rapidly veers off into warmer climates, traversed by breezy dubbed-out currents and shimmering chime echoes on a tropical tip. Killer!

Age is released via Mörk on 8th February, pre-order a copy from Bandcamp.
