Premiere: 79.5 – Feel Like Dancin’ (Malik Hendricks Remix)

Twelve years after their inaugural release, American label Razor-N-Tape gears up a five-track remix compilation – courtesy of Brooklyn-based supergroup 79.5.

Following notable releases on Razor-N-Tape and Big Crown Records, ‘79.5 : The Remixes’ gathers a world-class consortium of esteemed producers such as Darker Than Wax’s affiliate Malik Hendricks, Damien Harris, Miami bass specialist Jubilee, FSQ and label co-head honcho JKriv.

Our pick for the premiere is Malik Hendricks interpretation of ‘Feel Like Dancin‘ produced by 79.5. As a result of its prancing deep house melodies laced with dissolving synth pads, funky basslines, submarine kickdrums and voluptuous chants, Malik Hendricks conveys a pipe dream filled with untethered feet caressing sizzling sands and evoking the eternal presence of Mother Earth.

‘79.5 : The Remixes’ is scheduled for release via Razor-N-Tape. Order a copy from here.
