In a few days Dave Huismans aka A Made Up Sound will drop the third episode of his Archive instalments in the Clone Basement Series. Over the course of a few years, The Hague based producer has built up a consistent and singular body of work, blending stiff techno structures with a twisted bassy swing of his own, with records coming out on reputed labels such as Delsin, 50 Weapons or The Trilogy Tapes as well as his own dedicated eponymous outlet.
Today, we’re glad to bring you an exclusive stream of Funkstation, the second extract taken from Huismans upcoming Archive III. True to his signature sound, the track unchains a limping locomotive groove brewed with deeply obsessive drum patterns and clucking sample bits while a bed of bumping bass whorls achieve making you nod your head till you get a wry-neck. Dark and alienating as ever, AMUS is back.
Archive III is out now. Order a vinyl copy of Archive III from Clone.
