Premiere: Arnaud Rebotini – Abnegation Électronique

French imprint Blackstrobe are set to unveil their latest offering ‘Winter Sequences‘ from label head and dark disco visionary Arnaud Rebotini.

Known for his brooding synth work, Rebotini transforms the frostbitten season into a canvas of cold-blooded introspection. Following a series of shadow-laden disco releases, Rebotini embraces the crystalline solitude of techno’s sharp-edged minimalism and the murky depths of electro’s subaquatic allure.

Heavily inspired by the cold steel atmospherics of Detroit’s post-industrial legacy, ‘Winter Sequences‘ is a masterful exploration of human warmth clashing with mechanised desolation. Our highlight, ‘Abnegation Électronique’ feels like a shadowy figure materialising through the night, its opening notes swirling with enigmatic unease before unraveling into a full-blown storm of electro rhythms and spectral synthesisers.

Rebotini deftly weaves a constellation of acid-laden arpeggios and deep-seated reverberations, conjuring a dance of fleeting silhouettes. It’s as though the paradoxes of the human condition have been distilled into a darker, more haunting reverie.

‘Winter Sequences’ EP is scheduled for release on 10th January via Blackstrobe Records. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
