Moored in the UK but geared towards universal horizons, Hokkaido Dance Club is a label born from the collaboration of Leeds-based producer Viers and MDNGHT honcho Don Found. Within just a couple of releases, amongst which Mall Grab’s standout ‘Let U Kno‘, HDC’s quickly forged a solid reputation as a choosy purveyor of lo-fi excellency.
The Kanji-emblazoned imprint return with their third offering, a four-track VA rounding up tracks from a worldwide network of artists including German producer Ray Kandinski, NY-based Baltra, Kiwi talent Hugo Jay and label head Jordon Saxton as LK.
Today we’re glad to present Baltra’s steamy contribution ‘Tears Drop‘ in full stream form. The New-Yorker’s cut blooms as a lethal floor tempter, seductive yet redoubtable with its siren-song-like vox samples and heady synth hooks, luring you into the sunny belt of some rapturous exclave in one nostalgic caress. Optimal coastal house stunner.
HDC003 is released via Hokkaido Dance Club on September 16th, pre-order a vinyl copy from Juno.
