Mama Told Ya line up the third edition of their ‘MTY‘ compilation series packing 20-tracks of blazing techno inferno based on the motto “Mille attaques, les vents contrèrent” – “A thousand attacks, the winds countered.”
For the occasion, Anetha enlists 22 artists to provide 20 tracks, spread over 4 records. Italian producer Uncrat, BAKK aficionado Werfol, Stuttgart-based producer David Löhlein, Berlin-based sound artist Zoë Mc Pherson and Boys Noize, amongst others, step up to each deploy strains of techno stratosphere shaped by infectious synths and heavy industrial machinery.
Our pick is ‘Whaa’ by Benjamin Damage – thanks to his highly syncopated arpeggios, oozed-out signals, and proper rhythm build-ups, akin to what you’d expect on Modeselektor’s now defunct sub-label 50 Weapons. Make sure to take this mental turbo groove with you in case you go on another typhoon adventure.
