A studio workhorse and tireless sound voyager, Venezuelan-born Barcelona-based producer Luis Garbàn alias Cardopusher has laid the foundations to a rather impressive body of work in about fifteen years of career, trading a solid arsenal of heavy floor missilery through the likes of labels as diverse as Boysnoize Records, Hyperdub, Dark Entries, I Love Acid, Zodiac 44 and his own imprint, Classicworks.
Set for landing on May 31, Cardopusher’s latest for Hungarian label Dalmata Daniel finds him operating in his area of expertise – smack in the middle of acid-kissed EBM, proto-techno motifs and Detroit-bred electro territories.
Premiereing through our channels today, the punchy B-side number ‘Neverlasting‘ takes us for a bumpy ride across alien-forged sound corridors and helicoid analogue structures. Whipping snares, blunt claps and trampling kicks set the pace as tortuous synth pads curl and hover obsessively, blowing a wind of active contemplation across the bars. Get ready for intergalactic lift-off.
