After Papa Nugs left dancefloors simmering with ‘Move It Or Lose It‘ earlier this year, Sally C’s Berlin-based imprint Big Saldo’s Chunkers return with a no-nonsense remix dispatch, slathering their trademark cheeky swagger in high-octane gloss.
This time, it’s label confidant Cromby who gets the double rework treatment, with none other than Carista and Peach steering the vessel into peak-time hyperspace. Utrecht-based heavyweight Carista injects a controlled frenzy of bouncy 4/4 kinetics and subterranean undertones, while London-based producer Peach lets loose a tribal-kissed burner designed for high-altitude euphorics.
Our pick from the release is Carista’s remix of ‘House Flava’, unfolding like a secret rave held at the bottom of a coral reef. Glitchy sonar pings and faint whale-song arpeggios swirl around 90s house drum programming, while the original vocal hook is warped into a spectral mantra for dancers lost in the fog. It’s both a call to arms and a slow dissolve into club catharsis.
