Presenting their first ever release, Dublin-based imprint Reasons To Dance enlist eight producers to contribute to the shape-shifting sound of dance music on their forthcoming various artist compilation ‘SUNROOM001‘.
Consisting of 8 tracks, the compilation features the likes of label head honchos Fionn & Dåser, N-Face’s affiliate Glimmerman and Dundalk-based producer Laurence Kapinga, among others. ‘SUNROOM001‘ spans other-worldly bass grooves, digital dancehall, UK garage stompers and hedonistic footwork. In conjunction with this event, the label decided to donate all proceeds to UNRWA, The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.
Our pick is ‘Salt Rock’ by Dåser – thanks to his highly reverberating arpeggios, potent kick drum signals fused with deconstructed percussion and wobbling basslines – file alongside Tristan Arp. Those of you who haven’t found a reason to dance yet will be drawn to this piping-hot track.
‘SUNROOM001’ is scheduled for release on 9th November via Reasons To Dance. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
